Match Preview:
Sheffield United are still up there in 8th and just 5 points behind Chelsea in 4th, they can still make a big splash into a European place, and consistency will be key.
The Blades have gone their last 3 games unbeaten although their last match, which was also played at Bramall Lane would have been seen as 2 points dropped as they could only draw 1-1 with Brighton who are struggling at the moment.
The clubs home and away form is nearly idential and they have picked up 21 points from their possible 40 at home. However, whilst the club have been superb this season there is no denying that losing 5 games at home has hampered them quite a bit from really breaking free and being a genuine top 5 contender. Still they have just one loss in their last five games here and that was against Manchester City, so they are showing that they have become a stubborn force at home.
Norwich come into this game in danger mode, that is because they may just have found a second wind. The club beat Leicester 1-0 last weekend to pull off an unlikely victory and followed that up by dumping Tottenham out of the FA Cup winning the game on a penalty shoot out after coming from behind to draw 1-1 away from home.
There is a sense that Norwich may have turned a corner, believing that they are going to go down anyway, so are playing with freedom, and that means this could be a very difficult match for Sheffield United.
Norwich are six points from safety but with 30 points left on the board, it would be quite a come back and so much is stacked against them, but if they were to win this other teams would have to sit up and take notice. Having said the above we must also remember that the club have only won once all season away from home and have lost 10 of their 14 games so far.

Sheffield United: No new injuries.
Norwich: Emiliano Buendia has a muscle injury though it is thought to be minor and could still be picked. Ralf Fahrmann has missed the last two matches because of personal reasons and looks set to miss this game also. Christoph Zimmerman is 50/50 to make the game after his hamstring injury but could face a late test.

A few weeks ago this would look like a stone wall home win, now though that isn’t the case and the bet to go for here for a little value but with a good safety net is a +1 asian handicap for Norwich. We can’t discount them anymore after two very impressive performances and there will be a lot of confidence in the squad. It will only become more pressureised for the club if they win a few more games and are edging near survival, for now they will take the under dog role and be so happy to have reached the quarter finals of the FA Cup. The Blades need to be taken seriously too of course and we can certainly see them getting on the score sheet, in what should be a very entertaining game.
