England Premier League
Sunday 11th November 2018
Kick off at 4.30pm GMT
Venue: Etihad Stadium
Match Preview:
The game of the weekend and possibly the game of the season will take place early evening on Sunday when the great rivals Manchester City and Manchester United clash.
This fixture has become spicier in recent seasons given that City now win trophies and are of course the champions. Then we have the added rivalry of Pep Guardiola’s attack minded team against Jose Mourinho’s defence first and counter attack United, whatever the result of this game, it will be a memorable match that is for sure.
Manchester City lead the table but only by 2 points from Chelsea so this is a must win game given that Liverpool are in hot pursuit too. City have won their last 3 games in the league and are scoring goals for fun. They have netted 18 goals in their last 4 games including thrashing Shakhtar in the Champions League 6-1 in midweek.
At home City have a perfect record, 6 games and 6 wins. They are scoring 4 goals a game and have conceded just 3 times.
Are the troubles over for Manchester United? After a slow start the club have gone the last 4 games undefeated and have won 3 of those. In midweek United recorded arguably their best result in years by beating Juventus away in the Champions League. They were losing 1-0 with just four minutes to go and won 2-1, to stun one of the competition’s favourite teams.
United have stepped their game up by drawing at Chelsea 2-2 and ending Bournemouth’s unbeaten run at home last weekend. Certainly they are playing their best football of the season so far, if not yet impressing everyone.
Team News:
