Watford’s 2-0 win over Norwich before the international break went slightly unnoticed but it was a massive win for the Hornets that saw them leave the bottom of the league and they come into this game in 18^th place. There is still plenty to be done as they are 3 points from safety but with just 1 defeat in their last five the club are heading in the right direction, and are certainly proving more difficult to beat now.

At home they need to win because they haven’t this season and this match could be well set up for it. They have gained just 3 points from a possible 18 so far which simply isn’t good enough, and perfect relegation form.

Burnley have been poor recently but they did beat the even more out of form West Ham 3-0 before the break. Before that they had lost 3 games in a row. This match is interesting given that Watford haven’t won at home, because Burnley haven’t won away from home, can something give? Lets hope so! A win for Burnley despite poor form would see them shoot into the top half of the league.

Watford: Christian Kabasele is suspended for this game after his sending off. Robert Pereyra looks sidelined until the end of the month with a hamstring injury. Sebastian Prodl is out with a knee injury

Burnley: Daniel Drinkwater should be back, though this hasn’t been confirmed after a lack of match fitness. Matej Vydra has a hip injury and looks certain to miss this game
