Match Preview:
Chris Wood was the hero for Nottingham Forest at the weekend when he found an equaliser as Forest were heading for defeat. A draw at this stage of the season is not ideal but the club who are in 17th place cannot afford losses. Forest have climbed onto 22 points and despite being charged with a four point penalty have dumped Luton back into the bottom three. Forest have managed to draw their last two games in a row and for this midweek fixture they stay at home again. No matter where you are in the league you need to be winning your home games and for Forest they have only done so on 4 occasions with 7 defeats. They are a club who are battling though and plugging away and they have managed 4 points from their last 9 here with a win over West Ham and their last loss at home was against Liverpool but that game only finished 1-0 to the Reds and was heading for a draw.
Fulham are very much safe in 12th place and have 39 points and they even have an outside chance to qualify for Europe next season. It has been proposed that the Premier League could well have 8 sides in Europe next season so Marco Silva’s side really have all to play for and their season isn’t over yet. Form has been very stable with just the one loss from their last five games and that came against Wolves. Otherwise Silva’s team have had recent wins over Brighton and Tottenham winning those with the same scoreline of 3-0, this past weekend they drew 3-3 away to Sheffield United in an epic comeback as they were losing 3-1.

Nottingham Forest: Willy Boly could be assessed after recovering from a muscle injury, Nuno Tavares is still out with a muscle injury and won’t return for this game. Taiwo Awoniyi is sidelined with a muscle injury with no fixed return date.
Fulham: The club has no new injury concerns ahead of this fixture.

Nottm Forest vs Fulham Prediction:
Nottingham Forest need to find that bite that was injected into them when manager Santo first got the job, they have a large squad but as it turns out not a good enough one for the Premier League. Forest are like many other clubs in and around them, who can play good football in only small parts of the game and lose focus after and simply do not have the quality to compete. We can speak about ‘heavy weather’ results where clubs who really need the 3 points and not playing too badly are either losing or drawing, draws at this stage of the season are small chipping away living in hope- and this isn’t going to help Forest’s cause at all.
Forest are at home but have a very tough game on their hands. They really struggled against Crystal Palace at the weekend at the City Ground and while Palace aren’t exactly safe this was a game where all the motivation and risk laid at the hands of the home side who could not carry off a win. Fulham are in decent form and they have a great record over Forest and we expect that they can come away from this game with all three points.
