England Premier League
Saturday 22nd September 2018
Kick off at 3pm BST
Venue: Selhurst Park
Match Preview:
Crystal Palace have already had a topsy-turvy start to the season and we are only into the 6th week of the new campaign. Starting off with victory against Fulham, expectations were high, however they proceeded to lose 3 games in a row, and the struggling Palace of last season seemed to be back. Any panic was calmed by two things: The first was their hard fought and impressive 1-0 win at Huddersfield. The second was the local press praising Roy manager Roy Hodgson’s connection with the fans, this can only be a win-win story and could help the team keep their form up.
Newcastle are 19th after losing 3 games in a row and already their season looks in tatters. One has to wonder how long manager Rafa Benitez a coach who has been at Real Madrid will hang around for after being frustrated in the summer transfer window. The only plus side to the recent poor form is that they have had to play Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea in those games but still the confidence will be key to this game and could be low. Though it has to be said they played well against champions City.
