England Premier League

Venue: London Stadium

Match Preview:

A change of managers has been the news surrounding both clubs as we head into this clash. It seems that David Moyes will leave his post as West Ham manager at the end of the season as the club seek to have a different direction. For Liverpool Jurgen Klopp we know is leaving and the front runner for his job has gone to Feyenoord manager Arne Slot.

For now the Hammers are trying to have one last push for a possible European place next season but they will have to pick themselves back up after losing 2-0 at home to Fulham and being smashed 5-2 by Crystal Palace. The Hammers certainly still have a chance and are in 8th place with 48 points but they are being put under pressure from Chelsea and even Bournemouth may be able to catch Moyes' side up. Draws have been West Ham’s problem at home which is their current majority result with seven so far, and it’s been two months since the club last won at home.

Liverpool’s season looks like imploding and after being dumped out of the Europa League recently to Atalanta their title hopes were left knocked out and on the ropes against great rival Everton. Everton had not beaten Liverpool at Goodison Park for a cool 13 years and that ended with the Toffees terrific 2-0 win over the Reds. Liverpool for their part looked jaded and out of ideas, far from the side only a few weeks ago who were mounting a title challenge. This defeat has left the club trailing league leaders Arsenal by 4 points but Manchester City sit in between the clubs and have a game in hand over the Reds. The title looks like it's over now.

Team News:

West Ham: Nayef Aguerd, Jarrod Bowen and George Earthy will be assessed although for Earthy he may not be risked so soon after a head injury.

Liverpool: Diogo Jota and Conor Bradley are both out with respective ankle and hip injuries. Ben Doak, Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara are out for the season.

West Ham vs Liverpool Head to Head:

Last season Liverpool won this fixture 2-1.

Liverpool have won the last 5 meetings in a row and won 9 from the last 10 meetings.

The last three meetings have seen both teams to score.

Liverpool have scored 8 goals past West Ham in their last two meetings.

West Ham vs Liverpool Prediction:

The worry for Liverpool under Klopp is that while he has been a fantastic manager for them they have had really low moments and go on poor runs. We don’t think this will be one of them because there is a little chaos brewing at West Ham. Liverpool has a great record over the Hammers and while the league title looks a doubt it really would be over if they were to lose or even draw here, this is everything for the club and we think they can come through this test. The West Ham players have to be affected by the fact that managers are starting to talk to the club and so it seems almost certain their current manager won’t be there this time next month. West Ham look jaded and tired and have a poor record over Liverpool and we see only one winner here. We are going to back Luis Diaz to score, he was the only Liverpool player who looked effective in their Merseyside loss and he looks anger and hungry, if he can make that into a positive that could spell bad news for the home team.

West Ham vs Liverpool Betting Tips:

Liverpool to beat West Ham at 1.50

Anytime goalscorer: Luis Diaz at 3.30
