Match Preview:
Fulham are in 12th and with 42 points they don’t look like they will climb into the top half of the table but in many ways this has been a stable and solid season for the club who have never looked like they would get into a relegation fight and in fact have pulled off some terrific results along the way. Last weekend the club won their 12th game of the season as they beat West Ham away from home 2-0. That win ended 3 games without victory. At home the Cottagers have the seventh best record in the league and that is an impressive return with 9 wins this season. However they did lose their last match here 1-0 against Newcastle but overall they have been hard to beat.
Liverpool were dumped out of the Europa League in midweek as they beat Italians Atalanta 1-0 in the 2nd leg but lost 3-1 on aggregate. The season is turning out to have bitter blows considering it is manager Jurgen Klopp’s last one with the club. However there is a league title to win and the Reds are right in the mix. Last weekend though they suffered a setback when they were shocked by Crystal Palace at home losing their first home league game of the season. With Manchester City not playing in the league this weekend because of FA Cup duties Liverpool could join Arsenal on 74 points with a win but would be in 2nd place due to goal difference and just a point ahead of City who would have a game in hand.

Liverpool: Conor Bradley isn’t due back for two weeks with an ankle injury. Ben Doak, Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara are all out long term and may not return this season

Former Everton manager Marco Silva would love to get one over Everton but it's a tough ask. Liverpool travelled to Italy in midweek and crashed out of the Europa League, and that will be a downer for them but at the same time the league title is certainly not out of their reach, and this is their chance to grab points while Manchester City are not playing. Fulham have pulled off some good results this season against the top sides and they will raise their game and make life difficult for the Reds who will be the favourites. But we expect Liverpool to be too strong on the day and get the overall victory.
