These selections can be found in the Portugal Primeira Liga and the English Championship.
Our first selection (Asian handicap 0.0 Maritimo) are a very strong defensive unit, conceding the 3rd fewest goals (16 in 21 games) in the Portugal Primeira League this season behind Portugal's super clubs Benfica and Porto. Maritimo are defensively strong whether they are playing home or away, however they are far more free scoring when playing on their home ground Estádio dos Barreiros. At home they have managed 6 wins, 2 draws, and 2 losses, both of which came at the start of the season, so they haven't actually lost a home game in the league since September 2016. Since then they have had to play teams like Braga, Benfica, and Sporting, all of which they have taken points off, which is no easy thing to do, so their home form is definitely impressive. Their opponents tonight (Nacional) are struggling. They are level on points at the bottom of the league with Tondela, having managed just 3 wins all season, and they have an away record of 1 win, 1 draw, and 8 losses, scoring only 8 goals yet conceding 18 in the process. On top of that, their form is very poor, having gone their last 8 games without a win, so with the draw covered tonight in this selection, it should have a very good level of security.
Our second selection (Asian handicap 0.0,-0.5 Newcastle) is the only other stand out choice from a pretty poor set of fixtures today. Newcastle are the most dangerous attacking team in the English Championship, with 60 goals from 31 games, and they have also conceded the fewest number of goals with just 25 being conceded all season. They have however suffered a few surprising home defeats but all in all they are serious promotion candidates who would stand a good chance against any opposition in their league. They come into this game in decent form, with 4 wins and 2 draws from their last 6 league games, and could well have top scorer Dwight Gayle back in the starting lineup tonight. Their opponents tonight (Aston Villa) are going through a very poor patch of form, picking up just 2 points from their last 7 league games, and have failed to score in 5 of their last 7 away league games. Away from home this season they have really struggled for goals, scoring just 8 in 18 away league games, and this has lead to an away record of just 2 wins, 5 draws, and 9 losses. On paper this should be an easy home win for Newcastle, however the odds have enabled us to half cover the draw for a little bit more safety.
