Weekend Previews & Predictions by Kully Bahia

Barnsley v Brighton (18th Feb 2017)
Barnsley have won 6, drawn 3, and lost 2 of their last 11 league games. They are pretty consistent at home, and also decent on the road. They were goaless in 2 of their last 3 games, but scored in their previous 4 games. The sale of Sam Winnall to Sheff Wed was a loss to the team, he was their main striker, yet they still beat Villa 3-1 away from home on Tuesday, and on their day they can be a real handful to play against home or away. Brighton have the best defensive record in the league, and have only lost 3 times on the road this season, which is pretty impressive. Although recent form has shown a dip as the long season bites into title chasing dreams, winning 3, drawing 2, and losing 2 in their last 7 league games, but only managing 1 clean sheet. Barnsley will fancy themselves at home against an under par Brighton. Likely bet BTTS at 43/50 and Over 2.5 goals at 19/20.
Score prediction: Barnsley win 3-1(Odds 28/1)

Mainz v Werder Bremen (18th Feb 2017)
This game is from the Bundesliga I in Germany. Mainz have been in decent form at home this season, winning 5, drawing 3 and losing 2, and it's been 4 home games since their last defeat, scoring on average just over 2 goals per home game. The previous years results have resulted in both teams scoring, bar one in last seven. Werder Bremen have the 2nd weakest away record in the league this season, winning 1,drawing 3 and losing 5, and they currently sit 3rd from the bottom. Surprisingly they have managed to score in every away game, apart from their 1st, which was a 6-0 thrashing by Bayern Munich. Expect both teams to score again in this game. Likely bet BTTS at 1/2.
Score prediction: Mainz win 2-1 (Odds 15/2)

Sevilla v Eibar (18th Feb 2017)
Sevilla are sitting in 3rd position in La Liga this season after some very impressive displays. Notable home wins against Real Madrid and Atletico to give full bragging rights. They've won 8, drawn 1, and only lost 2-1 to Barcelona at home. This Wednesday they host Leicester in the Champions league, so will most likely field an under strength team. This last 16 game should be their priority, as a quarterfinal looms against a top seed. Eibar are seventh in La liga, 11 points behind their opponents. They struggle to beat teams above them in the league, but are more than capable of beating everyone else. With no other competitions to distract them, finishing as high as possible will be their priority. Their away form is average, and poor against better opponents. I don't see Sevilla fielding a heavily weakened team, and therefore should still be able to beat Eibar.
Score prediction: Sevilla win 2-0 (Odds 8/1)

Sampdoria v Calgliari (19th Feb 2017)
This game is from the Italian Serie A. Sampdoria have won 7, drawn 3 and lost 2 at home this season. They are very much a home team, as it's where most of their league points have come from, think Burnley. Their last 2 games have seen them score 3 goals per game, even beating Roma 3-2. Their opponents Calgliari have problems scoring on the road, and haven't scored in their last 4 away games. Calgliari have just 1 win, 1 draw, 10 losses away from home, they concede on average 2.3 goals per away game, and score 0.6 goals per away game. If Burnley are the guide to compare Sampdoria, then a home win is likely at 4/6
Score prediction: Sampdoria win 2-0 (Odds 17/2)
