Our first selection (Goal line - Over 2) in the Bastia vs Monaco game should stand a very good chance given Monaco's goal scoring ability this season. Monaco have scored a massive 75 goals from their 25 games this season, which is exactly 3 goals scored per game on average, and if we take into account the 23 goals conceded, then their games average 3.9 goals per game. Now their opponent's Bastia are a little more defensive minded, with their games averaging 2.2 goals per game, however most of those goals are conceded rather than scored, which should play right into Monaco's hands. When they played each other earlier in the season at Monaco's home ground Stade Louis II, Monaco ended up 5-0 winners. It's unlikely we'll see another 5-0 thrashing this time, as Monaco will be away from home, but with only 2 goals required for the bet to be safe, this selection should stand a good chance.
Our second selection (Asian handicap +1 Almere City) seems a good value selection considering the handicap, as Cambuur would need to win away from home by a 2 or more goal margin for this bet to lose, and Almere City are not an easy team to beat with home advantage. Almere City have a home record this season of 9 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses, scoring 27 goals and conceding only 13, and both their home losses came against the top 2 teams in the league (Ajax Reserves and Venlo). Almere's opponents today are a dangerous team but more so when they have home advantage as they are very free scoring. Away from home they have 4 wins, 1 draw, and 7 losses, scoring only 12 goals and conceding 18. So for a team who scores 1 goal per game on average away from home to beat (by a 2 or more goal margin) a team who scores over 2 goals per game on average at home seems a difficult task. Cambuur did beat Almere City 4-1 at home earlier this season but away from home it's a far harder challenge, and in terms of form, Almere have won their last 2 games whereas Cambuur have managed just 1 point from their last 2 games. Therefore this handicap should make the selection very safe.
