Premier League Previews & Predictions by Kully Bahia

Sunderland v Southampton (11th Feb 2017)
The Black Cats totally destroyed Palace last Saturday, scoring four 1st half goals to finish the job with 45 minutes still to play. David Moyes is getting better overall performances from his players, the squad is recovering from injuries, and players coming back from Africa Cup of Nations. Sunderland are strong at home, and always give good performances, especially against teams in the bottom half of the table. Southampton have a League Cup final on Feb 26th against Man Utd, and players appear concerned with making the final, which was evident when losing 3-1 to West Ham at home last week. Players may not worry as much about league games now, as less commitment could reduce the likelihood of injury for the game, which is their best chance of winning silverware. The loss of Van Djik in defence is also a serious concern. This is the Saints last league game before the final, so they'll probably try to put in a decent performance. Likely bets are Sunderland to win at 3/1, and Defoe to score anytime at 7/4.
Score prediction: Sunderland to win 2-1 (Odds 23/2)

Stoke v Crystal Palace (11th Feb 2017)
Stoke were unlucky not to get a draw against West Brom last week, with the absence of Shaqiri possibly being the difference in their 1-0 loss. They've got a strong mentality under Mark Hughes, and are difficult to beat against teams below them. They are currently unbeaten at home in their last 6 games, earning draws against Everton and Utd, and when playing against teams in the bottom half, they tend to win at home, as shown recently against Watford and Burnley. Crystal Palace look to be heading in a downward spiral, with their 4-0 home loss to Sunderland last week being one of many poor recent results. Allardyce may have finally met his Waterloo (never been relegated as a manager). The team is hinging on the midfield supplying Benteke. Zaha and Bolasie were the areas of pace last year, however Bolasie has since been sold to Everton. They've now lost 6 out of 7 league games since the new year, but more importantly the goals are drying up fast. They still have to play the top 6 teams, so need to start winning some of the other games. Stoke will be physical and play to their strengths, set plays and aerial bombardment. The likely bet here is Stoke to win at 53/50.
Score prediction: Stoke win 2-0 (Odds 17/2)

Swansea v Leicester (12th Feb 2017)
This game couldn't come at a better time for the Swans. They played very well against an improving Man City, and were unlucky to lose in injury time. Paul Clement has managed to turn around Swansea's season in only 4 games. They are beating teams that they would have normally lost to, and more importantly their home form is greatly improved, which generally gives an advantage in relegation games. Sigurdsson is their talisman midfielder, scoring goals and winning games, and there’s sure to be a lot of interest in him in the summer transfer window. Their defence is also much improved, and upfront they have Llorente to get them goals. Leicester are now facing a relegation fight, and Ranieri may have lost the dressing room, as the team clearly look on edge. The players are putting in poor performances, Vardy and Mahrez seem so distant, and the departure of Kante to Chelsea was a huge loss to the team. He's the reason Chelsea are top of the table. Ulloa has demanded a transfer, and there are signs of discontent. Both coaches will eye this game as a must win, but Leicester haven't scored in 5 league games. This game is likely to be very open, with chances for both teams. Back BTTS at 17/24, and over 2.5 goals at 21/20.
Score prediction: Swansea to win 3-1 (Odds 17/1)

Bournemouth v Manchester City (13th Feb 2017)
This game is just what the doctor ordered for Pep's settled system. A 4-1-4-1 formation is working for City, after tinkering for half of the season. Their defence is still vulnerable, especially the keeper. But after losing 4-0 to Everton, they are slowly turning it around. The attacking front five create so many chances, and Jesus is real competition for an out of form Aguero. Sane, Silva, Debruyne, and Sterling are passing the ball so well, playing possession based football that is great to watch, and more importantly they're winning games. Defence is still a worry, but goals conceded are harder to come by since Toure's deeper role in front of the defence has had a positive impact. Bournemouth’s early season form has evaporated. On top of this, Callum Wilson is out for the rest of the season. Bournemouth's cavalier style of football, is great to watch, but leaves too many gaps at the back. Relegation fears will creep into their game, and recent results have been poor. They have lost 3 and drawn 1 of their last 4 league games. They get the neutral vote, but football can be very brutal. Kamikaze football is how their recent performances have been. Back De Bruyne anytime scorer at 7/4, and a Goal in both halves at 4/9.
Score prediction: Manchester City to win 3-1 (Odds 19/2)
