Our first selection (Asian handicap 0.0 Fiorentina) is based as much on their opponents Pescara's form than their own form. Fiorentina have been playing well recently, picking up points against strong teams like Juventus and Napoli, and how they didn't beat Genoa in their last match is beyond me. Away from home Fiorentina seem to win or lose, with only 1 draw in 10 away games, which for me makes this game a likely win as Pescara are the level of opponents that they should be beating. Pescara have 1 win in 21 league games this season, and even that was awarded, so you could say they are yet to actually win a game by outscoring the opposition this season. They gained promotion via the play-offs last season, and it's clear to see the step up in class is too much for them and they will surely be relegated back down to Serie B this season. Fiorentina need the win tonight to get themselves back into European places contention, therefore with their clear advantage in quality, they really should get the job done tonight.

Our second selection (1st half goal line - Over 1) in the AS Roma v Cesena match should stand a very good chance. The only thing going against this game is that it's a cup game, because on paper AS Roma should comfortably win tonight. AS Roma have been big goal scorers at the Stadio Olimpico, with 28 goals scored in 10 home league games, and they won their last two Coppa Italia games 3-0 and 4-0 over Cagliari and Sampdoria respectively. Now today's opponents (Cesena) are a Serie B side, which makes them lower in quality than the opponents Roma thrashed in the last two rounds, and on top of that Cesena aren't even considered a good Serie B side, currently in the middle of a relegation scrap with a terrible away record. AS Roma have a 100% record at home in the league this season, so to come up a poor Serie B side, who struggle on the road, in the quarter final of the Coppa Italia, there should only be one outcome, an emphatic home win. Therefore, to have 1 or more goals scored in the first half seems extremely likely to me even if this is a Cup game.
