In terms of today's selections, if i had felt as confident for all of them as i feel about the Arsenal selection, then both these doubles would have been official "tipster's doubles", but they are not so, stake with a little more caution if following.
Arsenal have been in excellent form recently, winning their last 4 consecutive games in all competitions, scoring an impressive 13 goals in the process, and have also won their last 4 consecutive home league games. Overall they have 8 wins, 2 draws, and just 1 loss at home in the league this season, and have already recorded a convincing 3-1 win away from home earlier in the season when visiting tonight's opponents Watford. What must scare Watford is the fact that Watford are seen as difficult to beat at Vicarage Road, yet Arsenal were 3-0 up at half time, so surely the challenge will be even greater for The Hornets at Emirates Stadium. On top of that, with Watford losing 6 of their last 7 away games in all competitions, this should be a straight forward home win for Arsenal.
As for Nottingham Forest, it's not been a great season, but it's certainly been better than Rotherham's. This selection is not so much picked because of Forest's home form, because although it's ok, with 6 wins, 3 draws, and 4 posse, it's still not particularly brilliant. It's more based on Rotherham's away for this season, which has been absolutely dreadful. Yes i'm sure they may pick up an away win at some point, however with 1 away point from a possible 42, plus 40 goals conceded in their 14 away games, and with the draw being covered in this selection, it seems reasonable to think Forest are unlikely to lose this game.
Finally to Tottenham. They are looking fairly unstoppable recently, winning 8 of their last 9 games in all competitions, with only an away draw to Man City spoiling the amazing run of wins. So to now be playing bottom club Sunderland, it seems all too easy to pick Tottenham to win, but i do still have the odd niggling doubt. I do think Spurs will win this game, but my doubt is that Sunderland can make life difficult for teams at the Stadium of Light. They picked up points against Liverpool and Leicester, and Chelsea only managed a 1-0 win, and with Tottenham's less convincing away record of 4 wins in 11 away league games, i think there is room for a little doubt here despite Tottenham's amazing form. So yes, Spurs should win, but have a cautious approach if following, a lot of upsets have been happening recently.
