Midweek Premier League Previews by Kully Bahia

Burnley v Leicester (31st Jan 2017)
Burnley have been very strong at home this season, it's where the majority of their league points have been generated, 25 of their 26 points to be exact. They have a home record of 8 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses, and it's been 4 home games since they last suffered defeat. On the other hand, Leicester haven't won a single away game all season. Ranieri's team has lost so much confidence, scraping a draw against Derby in the FA Cup, and their last good performance was against Man City in early December, winning 4-2 at home. Leicester have experienced meltdown in defence, conceding far too many goals, with 37 conceded in 22 games. This time last season they were 2nd in the table, behind then leaders Arsenal, and crucially players were putting in great performances, all that seems to have deserted them this season. Expect another difficult game for Leicester, Burnley are tight against similar opposition. BTTS could be a safer bet at 10/11.
Score prediction: 2-1 to Burnley (Odds 11/1)

Swansea v Southampton (31st Jan 2017)
Swansea have brought in Paul Clement at a crucial time. They needed a manager of worth to rescue them from relegation and last week’s win at Anfield was an incredible performance. Sigurdsson played a blinder in midfield; Llorente has been a great coup, a proven goal scorer in Europe who hasn't lost his ability. They now look a team capable of avoiding the drop, having won 2 out of their last 3 games. Southampton have done well reaching the League Cup final. Realistically it's a lot of premier league teams best chance of silverware, the reason Mourinho takes it so seriously. Unfortunately though their league position is poor by recent standards, however they did beat Leicester 3-0 in their last home game, after losing their previous 4 games. The selling of Fonte to West Ham isn't helping matters, and Van Dijk is also injured, along with Rodriguez. Playing midweek to Liverpool in the league cup, and Arsenal in the FA Cup on Saturday will surely have tired the team (maybe the reason players were rested on Sat). Swansea will fancy themselves at home, the players are rested and look hungry. Swansea to win 23/10
Score prediction: 2-0 to Swansea (Odds 18/1)

Stoke v Everton (1st Feb 2017)
This game will be a very tight affair. Stoke managed to contain Man Utd at home, even though they were outplayed in periods. But against lesser opponents, Stoke do look the better team. Mark Hughes has turned the Potters season around. They are organised at the back, decent in midfield, and good upfront. It's now 5 home games unbeaten in the league. They work hard to grind out results, in a similar way to West Brom. Everton have now come into some form of late. They hit a sticky patch in November and December, but have pulled through. A lot depends on their defence, Jagielka and Funis Mori. If they are having a good game, they will sniff out any opposition threat. Their midfield is also playing well, Barry and Schneirdelin will hold the line. Letting Barkley play more attacking alongside Mirallas. Everton have always been shrewd in the transfer market, and some decent winter signings have bolstered the squad. Schneirdelin's partnership with Barry is a great tactical move by Koeman. Scoring against Everton will become difficult, and they are certainly good on the counter. BTTS at 3/4 is a decent bet.
Score prediction: 1-1 draw (Odds 11/2)
