Our first selection (Asian handicap -1 Monaco) are currently 2nd in the French Ligue 1 with a game in hand, and have one of the strongest home records in the league with 8 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss. Their defence is fairly strong at home, conceding 10 goals in 10 games, however it's their attack which wins them games, scoring a massive 34 goals at home this season, which is over 3 goals per game. Their last two games at Stade Louis II were less convincing than what we have got used to expecting this season, but their opponents (Lorient) should help prevent any struggles for Monaco today as Lorient have conceded more goals than any other team in the league this season, with 39 conceded in 20 games. Lorient have really struggled on their travels, they are yet to win a single away game, and have managed only 2 points from a possible 30 away from home. When these two teams met at Lorient earlier in the season, it was a 3-0 win for Monaco, so with home advantage this time, there should be only one outcome, a home win.
Our second selection (Asian handicap -1 Anderlecht) are currently sitting in 3rd position in the Belgium Jupiler League, just 2 points off leaders Club Brugge, so have a lot of incentive to be pushing for the win today. Anderlecht are one of the in form teams in the league, dropping just 2 points in their last 6 league games, which has included 4 clean sheets and 19 goals being scored. They are the leagues highest goal scorers with 45 from 21 games, and have won their last four home encounters with today's opponents Sint-Truidense. Sint-Truidense sit in 12th position, and although their home form has picked up a bit recently, they are still very poor on the road, losing 8 of their 10 away games, scoring only 8 goals, yet conceding 19. Sint-Truidense do struggle for goals, and seem to lack a key goal threat, unlike Anderlecht who have top scorer Lukasz Teodorczyk to be able to rely upon for goals. Anderlecht should have too much for Sint-Truidense, and should be able to rack up a 5th straight home victory against them today.
