Our first selection (Draw no bet - AC Ajaccio) is from one of the less reliable leagues so caution is advised, however on paper this selection should be fairly safe. AC Ajaccio are not one of the strongest sides in Ligue 2, currently sitting in 15th position, however they are still 9 points clear of their opponents tonight (US Orleans 45) and actually have the 5th strongest home record in the league this season. At home they have recorded 5 wins, 2 draws, and only 3 losses, scoring 15 goals, which isn't lots but they have only conceded 11, so their defence is pretty tight at home, making them pretty tough to beat. Their opponents US Orleans 45 have a shocking away record of 0 wins, 2 draws, and 7 losses, scoring only 4 goals, yet conceding 16, so they are really struggling on their travels with only 2 points from a possible 27. In terms of recent form, it's not brilliant for either team, however AC Ajaccio did manage to win their last match, which was a difficult away encounter with Troyes, whereas US Orleans 45 have just 1 point from their last 5 games. The one factor against this selection is a poor recent head2head record for AC Ajaccio when playing US Orleans 45, however US Orleans 45 are so poor away from home this season, it would be unlikely for AC Ajaccio not to at least manage a draw, which is covered in this selection.
Our second selection (Draw no bet - Strasbourg) are also from the French Ligue 2, however they are one of the stronger teams in the league, especially at home where they have only lost twice all season. One loss was to 3rd placed Reims, and the other loss was due to having two red cards in the 1st half of a game which they were winning until the sendings off. Strasbourg are the joint highest goal scoring home team in the league with 16 goals, which doesn't sound like much but this is a fairly cautious league, and they are still strong defensively with only 9 goals conceded at home. Their opponents tonight (Tours) are just 1 point above the relegation zone, and have only managed 4 wins from 20 league games all season, and this is largely because they concede more goals than any other team in the league, 5 more than the next highest to be exact. So Tours aren't the strongest team defensively, and that was shown when Strasbourg beat them 3-1 away from home earlier in the season. With Strasbourg having home advantage this time round, and the draw being covered, this selection should stand a good chance.
