Our first selection (Asian handicap -1 Liverpool) is the obvious choice today. Yes there is risk being a Cup game, and also being the away side this time round, but lets be honest, they should have won the first game at Anfield, even with a team full of youngsters. Despite drawing that game 0-0, they still had 77% possession and 28 attempts on goals compared to just 4 for Plymouth. Now with the tie needing a result this time round, surely Klopp won't take too many risks regarding team selection. There will still be rotation i expect, but i doubt it will has heavy as when they first played, and there really should be only one winner tonight and that's Liverpool.
Our second selection (Asian handicap 0.0 Lazio) has two factors against it, one the unpredictability of being a Cup game, and two, Lazio's next league game is away to Juventus, which could result in some rotation tonight. That being said, Lazio certainly won't want to lose this game, and that's why i have covered the draw in the selection just in case they aren't strong enough to secure the win. Lazio have been in really good form this season, they sit just 1 point off the Champions League places and have won 8 of their 11 home games, scoring 21 goals and conceding only 9 in the process, so they are strong in both attack and defence when playing at home. Their opponents tonight (Genoa) are one of the most out of form teams in the league at the moment, especially away from home where they have only managed 1 point from their last 7 games. On top of that, Lazio have the psychological edge given that they have already beaten Genoa 3-1 earlier this season. Genoa will do their best to make life difficult for the in form Lazio tonight, but with the draw covered, this selection should have good safety.
