Our first selection (Rangers) have really found their form recently, winning 5 of their last 6 league games, with the only blip being an away visit to Hearts. They currently sit in 2nd position behind leaders Celtic, and their main asset this season has been their defence, in particular at Ibrox. Along with Celtic, Rangers remain the only undefeated teams at home so far this season, and their defence has been fortress like, conceding only 4 goals in 9 home games. They aren't huge goal scorers, however they have scored 2 goals in each of their last 3 games, which included games against Hearts and Aberdeen, so they are plenty capable of scoring. Their opponents today (Inverness) have conceded more goals than any other team in the league, and away from home they have just the 1 win from 9, conceding 18 goals in the process. On top of that, Inverness have already lost to Rangers this season when they had home advantage, so this time at Ibrox should make a Rangers win even more likely.

Our second selection (Dundee Utd) sit in 2nd position in the Scotland Championship, level on points with leaders Hibernian, separated only by goal difference. Dundee Utd have the best home record in the league with 6 wins and 2 draws from 8 home games, scoring 13 goals and conceding only 5. So as with our first selection (Rangers), they are also not the biggest goal scorers but they do have a very mean defence which makes them very difficult to beat at home. In terms of form, Dundee Utd are flying, winning 9 of their last 11 games in all competitions, so their confidence will definitely be high at the moment. Their opponents today (St Mirren) sit bottom of the league with just 2 recent wins from all 17 league games this season, and have conceded more goals than any other side in the league. When Dundee Utd visited St Mirren in October, Dundee Utd won 2-0, so with home advantage this time, they should be able to record another win today.
