On paper our first selection (-1 Monaco) really should be nailed on despite their disappointing result against Lyon last time out. Monaco have been in impressive form at home, winning 7 of their 9 home league games and scoring a massive 32 goals yet conceding only 9. Their opponents (Caen) however have the poorest away record in the league with just 1 point from 8 away league games, scoring only 5 goals in the process. So all in all this should be a convincing win for Monaco today.
Our second selection (St Liege) is the reason why this double is a suggestion rather than an official "Tipster's Double". I still believe they should win today, they have home advantage and have been playing extremely well at home, winning 7 of their 9 home league matches, scoring 21 goals and conceding only 4. Also their opponents (Lokeren) away record is very poor with only 2 wins from 10 away league games, however they were both recent. In fact they have only dropped 2 points from their last 4 games, which does provide an element of caution to this selection. I do still think St Liege will dominate play and most likely win, but confidence is sure to be high at Lokeren so they could make life tricky on the counter. Should be a home win today, but not as nailed on as Monaco.
