Our first selection (SCR Altach) currently sit in 2nd position in the Austria Bundesliga, level on points with leaders Sturm Graz, and are the most in-form team of the last 10 games, winning 6, drawing 3 and losing just 1. However their form over the last 5 games is even more impressive, dropping only 2 points, and scoring 11 goals and conceding only 3 in the process, so it's fair to say their confidence should be very high at the moment. They remain the only team to still be undefeated at home this season, and that's largely down to having the best home defence in the league, conceding just 4 goals in 8 home games. Their opponents today (SV Reid) sit 3rd from bottom and that's mainly thanks to a very poor away record of 1 win, 1 draw, and 6 losses, scoring only 4 goals yet conceding 14. Everything points to a straight forward home win for SCR Altach today.
Our second selection (Sonderjyske) had a terrible start to their latest Denmark Superliga season considering they finished in 2nd position last season behind FC Copenhagen. That poor start sees them sitting in 6th position currently, a big improvement from earlier in the season, and due to a very good spell of home form, dropping just 2 points from their last 5 home games. Sonderjyske's home defence is very strong, 2nd only to FC Copenhagen, however it's their lack of goals which is the major concern, averaging just over a goal per game which puts a lot of reliance on their defence. Fortunately today they are up against AaB who are really struggling away from home, they have lost their last 5 straight away league games, and have failed to score a single goal in 4 of those 5 games. I think Sonderjyske certainly come away with at least a point today considering their strong recent home form, and with the draw covered, this selection should stand a good chance.
