Our first selection (Arsenal) are currently joint top of the England Premier League with Man City and Liverpool, and are looking real title contenders, although this is a story we've seen before with Arsenal but then they usually go on to falter later in the season. A big difference for them this season is the addition of Mustafi, which has really strengthened them defensively, and the injury to Giroud earlier in the season seems to have worked in their favour as they appear to be a bigger attacking threat with him on the bench. Their opponents today (Sunderland) are in big trouble, sitting at the bottom of the table with just 2 points from 9 games. David Moyes also appears to be in desperate trouble, and it doesn't surprise me considering his open negativity towards the possible relegation situation ahead of them. Considering the quality and form of Arsenal and lack of form for Sunderland, this should be an Arsenal win on paper.
Our second selection (Liverpool) are also in great form at the moment, playing aggressively attacking football, and teams are struggling to stop them. They don't have the burden of European football this season too, which can serve as a distraction to league matches, so they can be fully focuses and fresh for all of their Premier League games, which is actually a huge advantage in the title race. Their opponents today (Crystal Palace) have been a bit of a bogey team for Liverpool in recent years, however Liverpool's last two visits to Selhurst Park were victorious. Crystal Palace have had patchy form this season, with very little difference between their home or away form (as usual). Their wins have come against teams near the bottom of the league, so with the draw covered, and Liverpool being such a dangerous team this season, this selection should stand a good chance.
