Our first selection (Liverpool) are looking real title contenders right now, they push forward in numbers at a very high tempo, which makes them a massive attacking threat against any team. They are unbeaten in their last 7 games in all competitions, winning 6 of them, and scoring a massive 22 goals in the process, and their only loss this season has been a real freak match against Burnley where Liverpool were utterly dominant but just couldn't make it count. Their opponents tonight (Man Utd) have had a difficult start to the season, dropping points against teams like Watford and Stoke, and although their squad has considerable talent, they still don't look like a well balanced team. I can see Liverpool being the attacking force tonight, going at Man Utd hard from the first whistle, my only reservation though is the fact that this is Man Utd and Mourinho they are playing, and both have a history of finding a way to win even when they are not the favourite, which is why i can only post this as a suggestion today.
Our second selection (Eibar) should be the safer of the two. Eibar are having a very good start to the season, they currently sit in 8th position and are now unbeaten in their last 6 home league games, which includes games against Real Madrid and Sevilla. They are not big goal scorers but they are defensively very strong, especially at home where they have only conceded 1 goal from 3 home games this season. Their opponents today (Osasuna) are newly promoted after creeping into the playoffs via goal difference last season. They are struggling in the top Spanish league with 0 wins in 7 attempts so far, and away from home they are conceding far too many goals, with 9 conceded in just 3 games. Eibar will be looking at this as a real winning opportunity, and these are the games they have to be setting out to win as there are far better opponents in the league. Expect a solid performance from Eibar, maybe snatching a win by a 1 goal margin.
