Our first selection (Dortmund) are the only realistic threat to Bayern Munich's title ambitions, and they will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing result against Leverkusen last time out. Dortmund are pretty formidable at home, last season they won 14 and drew 3 of their 17 home games, with one of the wins being a 3-1 victory over today's opponents (Hertha Berlin). This season so far, they have won all 3 of their home games, scoring 11 goals and conceding only 2 in the process, so their home form has clearly carried over into this season. Hertha Berlin finished last season very poorly, picking up just 2 points from their last 7 games, and their away record was an unimpressive 5 wins, 3 draws, and 9 losses, scoring only 18 goals and conceding 27. So far this season, they sit in 2nd place, however this is largely due to 3 straight home wins, their away performances once again have been less impressive, with 1 win, 1 draw, and 1 loss. Dortmund will likely be the attacking force in this game, and with home advantage they should be too strong for Hertha who will look to play on the counter in this game.
Our second selection (Las Palmas) have started the season very well, they are unbeaten at home, and that's even having played Real Madrid in their last home match (2-2 draw). They have conceded a lot of goals this season (13 in just 7 games), however 10 of those have been away from home, where as at home they have a goals ratio of 8 for and only 3 against. Their opponents tonight (Espanyol) have had a poor start to the season, sitting in 18th position, with just 1 win in 7 games, which was against Osasuna who occupy 19th position and have 0 wins. They are also conceding a lot of goals (14 in just 7 games), however unlike Las Palmas, they are not managing to compensate by scoring many goals themselves (9 scored). With Las Palmas having home advantage and this selection covering the draw, it should make the selection stand a very good chance.
