Our first selection (1st half goal line - Over 1) in the Poland v Armenia game should stand a good chance as Poland have one of the best complete forwards in the modern game in Lewandowski, and they will be up against Armenia who have conceded 6 goals in their first two qualification games. Poland are a good side these days, and with Napoli striker Milik partnering Lewandowski, they definitely pose a strong goal threat, however they aren't the strongest defensively, conceding 6 goals in their last 4 games. Their opponents today (Armenia) are struggling in qualification so far with 2 straight defeats without managing to get on the score sheet, although they wren't helped by an early red card against Romania. Regardless of the red card though, Poland should be too strong and win this game comfortably, which is why i expect at least 1 goal to have been scored by the half way point.

Our second selection (0.0 England) do have plenty of quality but still look like a team with no tactical plan as to how to break down opponents who choose to sit back and play on the counter. They move the ball forward with such lack of urgency, with players taking far too many touches before deciding what to do with the ball, which allows teams too much time to get into a strong defensive shape. Having said that, they are still a quality side which are difficult to beat, it's just that they are yet to fill me with confidence they will win all the matches they should be winning on paper. Today's opponents (Slovenia) are a team England should beat on paper, however i have covered the draw just in case. Slovenia have had a decent start to their qualifying campaign however they don't possess much quality, and shouldn't cause England too many problems.
