Our first selection (Feyenoord) are playing extremely well and seem to have an improved determination over last season where they sometimes looked like they could crumble under pressure. They have so far won all 6 of their league games, and that's including a visit to PSV, and a Europa League win against Manchester United. On top of that, there are no obvious signs of weakness, scoring goals for fun (16 goals scored in 6 games) and being defensively very strong (2 goals conceded in 6 games). Their opponents today (Roda JC) have had a very poor start to the season sitting in 17th position with just 3 points (3 draws) from their first 6 league games, scoring only 3 goals yet conceding 9. With Feyenoord having home advantage, and looking like the class act of the League so far, this should be a straight forward home win.
Our second selection (PAOK Salonika) are always up near the top of the table and this year looks to be no different despite having to start the league with a -3 point deduction. Although very early in the season, they have won both of their games and looked pretty strong in the process, and they managed a very respectable draw against Fiorentina in the Europa League. Generally speaking PAOK are always far stronger when playing at home and would be expected to beat most league teams other than maybe 3 or 4 of the big teams. Their opponents today (Xanthi) have had a poor start to the season, losing their first 2 games, managing just 1 goal in the process yet conceding a hefty 6 goals. Based on form, quality, home advantage, and historical meetings between these two teams in the past, everything suggests this should be a home win today.
