Our first selection (-1 Liverpool) have dropped points many times against teams they should beat, which does give me a slightly uneasy feeling about this selection. However Liverpool's form and style of play can't be ignored for today's match against newly promoted Hull City at Anfield, surely Liverpool can't keep dropping points against teams they will most likely dominate. Liverpool's recent convincing Cup wins against lower league opposition does though indicate they may now be showing the same level of desire and incentive they seem to play with against the top teams. Their opponents today (Hull City) had a decent start to the season with wins over Leicester and swansea, however 1 point from their last 3 games shows they are still likely to struggle this season and will surely have a tough task today trying to stop such a strong attacking side.
Our second selection (Man City) really look like they are likely to beat any team they play at the moment. Yes, it's early in the season but they have looked very dominant in every game, and today they are boosted by the return of their star striker Aguero. They played today's opponents (Swansea) just 3 days ago in the EFL Cup and beat them 2-1 away from home with a rotated team, so with key players likely to come back today, they should be able to repeat their win. Swansea look like they could struggle this season, 3 losses from 5 so far, and just 1 narrow win against Burnley. Swansea will likely try to frustrate Man City as much as possible today, but it seems difficult to imagine they will be able to stop City scoring for the entire 90 minutes, and once the first goal goes in, the game could open up and it wouldn't surprise me if more goals follow. Expect Man City to add to their 100% record today.
