Our first selection (Sochaux) currently sit in 5th position in the France Ligue 2. So far after 8 games they are unbeaten, although only 2 have been wins, which is why we are covering the draw in this selection. They have however already played the top 2 teams in the league (Reims and Brest), both of whom were unable to beat them. Their opponents tonight (AC Ajaccio) are only 1 point behind in the league, however that's largely because they have only dropped 2 points in 4 home games, but their away record is far less impressive. Away from home they have managed just 2 points from 4 away games, scoring only 2 goals and conceding 5, and this pattern of poor away form is no surprise as they only managed 1 away win all of last season. Sochaux may not be nailed on to win tonight but they will be expected to, and they certainly won't be expecting to come away with nothing.
Our second selection (Bohemians) have been a little unconvincing lately, however they certainly haven't been as unconvincing as their opponents tonight (Longford). Generally this season Bohemians are holding their own against teams in the lower half of the table and struggling against the top half teams, with their only home losses coming against top 4 sides. Fortunately Longford are as far down in the bottom half as it's possible to be having won just 2 of their 27 league games all season. They have conceded a massive 59 goals and both their 2 wins came against the teams directly above them. They have lost to bohemians 3 times this year and there is nothing to suggest that pattern will change tonight. With the draw covered, this selection should have a very good chance.
