Our first selection (Man City) have started the season very impressively, winning all 4 of their league games so far, which included beating Man Utd at Old Trafford. Pep Guardiola has definitely made Man City into a force this season, and even though their star striker Sergio Aguero won't be available for this match due to suspension, they will still be a huge attacking threat, being the leagues top goal scorers so far with 11 goals from just 4 games. Their opponents tonight (Bournemouth) have so far struggled for goals. They have played some nice football, as expected, however it seems that final pass or final shot is where they are being let down at the moment, and against a team like Man City where they won't have too many chances on goal, they will need to be more clinical. This should be an entertaining encounter, but Man City should just be too strong for Bournemouth today.
Our second selection (Napoli) don't appear to be missing Higuain too much so far this season, being the leagues top goal scorers, scoring 9 goals from just 3 games. Last season Napoli were particularly formidable when playing at home, going undefeated at home in the league all season, winning 16 of their 19 games, and scoring a massive 49 goals yet conceding only 12, which was the best home record of any team that season. This season has started well for them at home also, with 3 big friendly wins (5-0, 3-0, and 5-0) and a 4-2 league win against AC Milan. Their opponents today (Bologna) have also started well with 2 home wins from 3 games, however they haven't looked convincing, and were thrashed 5-1 away from home by Torino. In fact their away form is pretty shocking, not winning an away game in all competitions since February, and were beaten heavily 6-0 away to Napoli last season. This should be a home win for Napoli today.
