Our first selection (Tranmere) is a case of top vs bottom. Yes it's early days in the season so far, however Tranmere have 5 wins and 1 draw, scoring 10 goals and conceding only 3, where as Guiseley have 6 straight defeats, scoring 8 goals and conceding a massive 17, so these figures have to be taken seriously. When taking into consideration last season also, there are similarities to how this season have started, with Tranmere being in the mix for promotion, and Guiseley being in the mix for relegation. Last season Guiseley only managed 3 away wins from 23 away games, and they lost 2-1 when they visited Tranmere. Unless there is a drastic change in form or some incident like a red card, this should be a straight forward home win for Tranmere as they continue their push for automatic promotion.

Our second selection (Maidenhead) have also started the season very well, with 5 wins and 1 loss from their first 6 games, scoring 12 goals and conceding only 2, and keeping clean sheets in their last 3 games, so their defence is looking very strong. Their one blip came away to 4th placed Poole Town, as they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat, however at home they are 3 wins from 3, scoring 9 and not conceding a single goal. Their opponents today (Truro) have had an up and down start to the season, scoring goals but also conceding freely. Their one win was against bottom placed Concord, which is nothing to be too impressed about, however they have only lost 2 of their 6 games, which is why i have covered the draw on this selection for extra safety. Considering the recent form and the home advantage for Maidenhead, they should be able to pick up at least a point tonight.
