Our first selection (Sparta Prague) are a different team when playing at home, a much better one. Last season they only won 6 of their 15 away games, and scored only 20 goals in the process, but when playing at home they won 14 of their 15 home games, scoring 41 goals and conceding only 9. Now this 2nd leg tie against Sonderjyske is finely balanced at 0-0, so Sparta can't afford to be complacent as a score draw would eliminate them on the away goals rule, so they need to set out to win the match. Sonderjyske have started their domestic season very poorly, with 0 wins, 3 draws, and 3 losses, conceding a hefty 11 goals in the process, 7 of which have come in their 3 away games. Sonderjyske know that just 1 away goal will cause problems so will most likely look to frustrate Sparta and catch them out on the counter, however with Sparta being so strong at home, i expect them to have enough quality to overcome this tactic and win the match.
Our second selection (+3 Astra Giurgiu) should be very safe due to the size of the handicap. Yes West Ham are the stronger team but i'm fairly sure they won't win by a 4 goal margin, which is what they will need to do in order for this selection to lose. In the previous 3 meetings between these two teams in just over a year, the score has never been separated by more than 1 goal, which was surprisingly a 2-1 win for Astra Giurgiu. With the tie currently sitting at 1-1, West Ham have the away goal advantage, which means they will definitely have a safety first approach to this game, and with Payet unlikely to start, they will most likely be missing their star player. Astra Giurgiu have started their domestic season poorly and i don't see them winning tonight, however i just don't see West Ham winning by a 4 goal margin, therefore this selection should be very safe.
