These selections can be found in the Europa League Qualifiers.
The Europa League Qualifiers are traditionally a bit of a lottery, however our first selection (Fenerbahce) have a very strong home record, which should help our chances of profiting from these difficult fixtures. They are so strong at home they have only lost 1 home league game in the last 3 domestic seasons. They have come to these qualifiers after losing out to Monaco in the Champions League qualifiers, although they did still manage to win their home leg of that tie. Their opponents today (Grasshoppers) have had a bad start to their domestic season, losing 3 of their first 4 games, with each loss being played away from home which would indicate they don't travel well. I think this game will have a few goals and with Fenerbahce being such a difficult place to visit, the hosts should have a good chance of winning this first leg.
Our second selection (Gent) are one of the stronger teams in Belgium, they finished the main league last season in 2nd place, losing just 1 game at home, before playing the rest of the games in the Championship Group. They have started the new season with an impressive home win over Genk, which indicates they are still a very strong team when playing at home, and their opponents today (Shkendija) wouldn't be considered as strong as Genk. Shkendija play in Macedonia, which wouldn't be considered one of the strongest leagues, and were a little fortunate to beat Mlada Boleslav in the last qualifying round, scoring both their goals when having a man advantage after Mlada Boleslav went down to 10 men. Gent should be too strong for Shkendija, and although Gent may not be the biggest goal scorers, they should have enough quality to dominate and win today
