Our first selection (QPR) started the new Championship season impressively with a convincing 3-0 win over leeds, where they created a lot of good chances. Generally speaking they are a side which performs better at home too, although most sides do, but it's particularly apparent with QPR who only lost 4 times in the league last season at home but lost 10 times away from home. They are also far more effective goal scorers at home, scoring more than double the number of goals at home last season in comparison to their away games. Their opponents today (Swindon) also got off to a winning start to this season, however they do play in the league below QPR and they tend not to have too much success on their travels so this will be a big ask for them to progress to the next round. QPR should have the quality to qualify for the next round of this cup competition tonight.
Our second selection (+0.5 Wohlen) have had a decent start to the season, scoring 4 points from their first 3 games, which includes playing leaders Zurich. Their opponents Chiasso on the other hand have had a poor start with just 1 point scored from their first 3 games. There won't be a huge amount to separate these teams in terms of quality, however Wohlen have the home advantage and i would imagine more confidence going into this game. On top of that, Chiasso have very poor away form, having failed to win an away match since August 2015. This will most likely be a fairly tight game which Wohlen may just edge, however a draw will still be good enough for our selection.
