Our first selection (Rio Ave) drew 0-0 in the 1st leg of their tie away to Slavia Prague, however despite only managing a draw, they probably edged the play slightly, having more possession and chances despite being the away side. Rio Ave don't seem to fair considerably better whether they play home or away, they seem to draw more away from home but they also lose less. Slavia Prague however are considerably better when playing with home advantage, losing 5 times as many games in the league last season away from home and scoring nearly half the number of goals, which should work strongly in Rio Ave's favour. I expect Rio Ave to be the attacking force in this game, with salvia looking for breaks on the counter, and with the draw covered, this selection should stand a decent chance.
Our second selection (Rapid Vienna) also drew 0-0 in the 1st leg of their tie, however they were utterly dominant away to Torpedo Zhodino, having 58% of possession and 14 attempts on goal compared to just 3 for Torpedo Zhodino. It was a game which Rapid Vienna should have comfortably won, and they certainly will be looking to finish things tonight with home advantage. I expect an even more dominant performance tonight, with wave of attack after attack from Rapid Vienna, and it wouldn't surprise me if they won by 2 or 3 goals to nil.
