These selections can be found in the France and Ireland Leagues.

Our first selection (Nimes) finished last season fairly comfortably clear of the relegation positions despite starting the season with a -8 points deduction, in fact without the points deduction they would have finished in the top half of the table. They also had one of the best home records in the league, losing just 2 of their 19 home league games. They play a fairly attacking brand of football, scoring more goals than most of the teams in the league, and managed to score in 16 of their 19 home games last season. Their opponents today (Laval) are on the opposite end of the scale, a very safety first team, hence why they drew 11 of their 19 away games last season. Last season they scored just 9 goals and recorded just 2 wins away from home, setting up their games to nick a goal on the counter. Their pre-season form indicates their tactics haven't changed and will look for an against the run of play goal today against Nimes. In terms of head2heads, Nimes haven't lost at home to Laval since Sept 1998, and i struggle to see that pattern changing today.

Our second selection (Limerick) you should all know by now. They are dominating the Ireland Div 1, dropping just 2 points in all 18 games so far this season. They are 20 points clear at the top, score many more goals than any other team, concede less than any other team, and generally should win against any other league team they play. Their main reason for not winning a game would most likely be down to complacency after gaining such a big lead and having so much success in the league this year, however there are no signs of that so far so we may as well keep picking them. Their opponents today are on a pretty bad run of form, losing 11 of their last 13 games in all competitions, and away from home they have lost their last 4 games in all competitions without even scoring. Unless we have a major shock, this should be another Limerick win tonight.
