Our first selection (AC Oulu) sit 2nd in the league at the moment and are in a great run of form, dropping just 2 points from their last 6 games. Their home record is particularly impressive with 5 wins and 2 losses against the two teams with the best away records in the league, however they are still very difficult to beat away from home also, recording just the 1 away loss so far this season. Their opponents today (FC Haka) have an ok away record, however if you look into it a little closer, it may be a little flattering. They have an away record of 2 wins, 3 draws, and 2 losses but if you look at their 2 wins, one of them was against 4th place KPV, which sounds impressive, however they were losing 1-0 until 2 red cards for KPV changed the game in FC Haka's favour, and their other win was against bottom side Jazz Pori who most teams beat. So with AC Oulu having home advantage, form and quality going in their favour, this should be a decent selection.
Our second selection (FK Jelgava) are only 3 points ahead of Rigas FS in the league, however home advantage would appear to play a large factor in this fixture. FK Jelgava at home have a very good record of 5 wins and 2 losses, scoring 15 goals and conceding only 7, however away from home they are 1 win, 1 draw, 4 losses, scoring just 2 goals and conceding 9. Now their opponents away record is also poor, with 1 win, 2 draws, 4 losses, scoring only 3 goals and conceding 11, and in terms of head2head's, the home team has won to nil on both occasions. So it's clear the home team seems to have a huge advantage in this fixture. As it happens, i do also think FK Jelgava have that extra bit of quality, but the home advantage on it's own should make this selection pretty safe.
