Our first selection (Cork City) were utterly dominant in their 1st leg match away from home, they had 60% possession and 13 attempts on goals compared to just 2 for Linfield. Generally speaking this season, Cork City have been much stronger at home compared to away from home. They have a very impressive home league record of 7 wins, 1 draw, and 0 losses, scoring 18 goals and conceding only 3, and this is far better than their away league record of 4 wins, 3 draws, 1 loss, scoring only 9 goals but still only conceding 3. So their defence is strong where ever they play, however they are a much better attacking unit when playing at home, therefore if they dominated their first leg away from home, then this 2nd leg at home should be even more dominant despite currently holding a 1-0 lead.
Our second selection (Haukar) is the riskier of the two selection, mainly because of the poor quality of league the match is being played in. There isn't much between these two team however home advantage appears to play a bit factor with both of them. Haukar have a 100% record at home so far this season, yet they have just 1 point in 5 away games so far, and Kopavogur's stats aren't too dissimilar. In fact, if you look at their last 8 head2head's, there is only 1 occasion where the away team has come out on top, and that was Haukar in 2011. Both teams have leaky defences (both conceding 17 goals in 8 games), however Haukar appear to be more of an attacking threat, scoring 5 more goals in their 8 league games. Therefore with home advantage, a greater attacking threat, and the draw being covered, this should be a relatively safe selection.
