Our first selection (Ukraine) showed patches of good attacking play in their last match against Germany. They are far from being the strongest team in the competition however they definitely posed a threat to Germany towards the end of the first half and defensively they are usually very strong. Their opponents today (Northern Ireland) pretty much tried to completely park the bus against Poland, however they will need to attack today as they are unlikely to get anything from their final group match against Germany. This could leave chances for the Ukraine and enable the likes of Yarmolenko to create chances on the counter. I think Ukraine have the advantage in quality today, and although both will be looking to win this match today in order to continue past the group stage, the Ukraine should be strong enough to come out on top.
Our second selection (Internacional) are currently in 2nd place in the Brazil Serie A with just 1 narrow away defeat in their first 7 games. They don't score many goals, relying more on a solid defence to help secure the points, with three 1-0 wins already. Their opponents today (Atletico MG) are an under performing side so can still be dangerous, however their form so far this season has been very poor. So far this season they have just the 1 win, however they have drawn more games than lost, which is why the draw has been covered in this selection. Home advantage plays a big part in South America, and that should be enough of an advantage to enable Internacional to come away with something from this match.
