Finally Euro 2016 is here, and we will be using the opening match between France and Romania in todays double. Due to our second selection coming from the less predictable South American leagues though, this double will be posted as just a suggestion, so if you're in any doubt, just wait for the next official "Tipster's Double".

Our first selection (France) are the favourites to win the Euro 2016 Championships, and considering the quality of their squad, and they are the home nation, it's easy to see why. Personally i fancy Spain to return to winning ways in this tournament, however that's got nothing to do with this particular game. France's opponents today (romania) qualified 2nd in a somewhat unimpressive group. They rely very much on defensive strength as they don't pose much of an attacking threat, and it's very likely they will set up for this game very defensively, trying to play on the counter. I think it's likely Romania won't score today, and it's also likely France will have the quality to break down what could be a stubborn defence at some point, and that 1 goal might well be all France need for the win. Having said that, Romania's last 2 games have contained 13 goals, but whether there are many goals or not, France should still come out on top.
Our second selection (EC Bahia) are currently 3rd in the Brazil Serie B, and have a very impressive home record of 3 wins, 1 draw, 0 losses, scoring 6 goals and conceding only 1 in the process. Home advantage plays a massive factor in South America, and the strong teams usually win the majority of the home games throughout the season. Their opponents today (CRB) also have a strong home record, however they are away from home today and they have already lost 2 of their 4 away games to teams of a lower quality than EC Bahia. This may well be a low scoring encounter as EC Bahia have one of the best defences in the league, but i expect them to score at some point, which could well give them a good chance of securing all 3 points.
