Our first selection (Dundalk) would normally have much shorter odds than this for a home game against most opposition, however because they have drawn and lost their last 2 home games, the odds have moved in our favour. Dundalk are still the team to beat though, and have the most quality, which can be seen by the fact they have scored 17 goals and conceded only 4 in 7 league games so far. Their last two home games were against strong opposition too (Derry and Cork), so i don't think they suddenly have an issue with home form because of two tough games. Their opponents tonight Sligo Rovers) are yet to win a game, they have 4 draws and 3 losses, and have only managed to score 3 goals all season, so this is definitely the kind of game Dundalk would be looking to make sure they get 3 points from. Sligo haven't been playing too badly, but they are not scoring enough goals, and after Dundalk's last two home games, they will be out to make sure they get the 3 points tonight. I expect a convincing win for Dundalk by at least 2 goals.
Our second selection (Ajax Reserves) are a tough side to beat when playing at home. They have only lost 2 of 16 home league games this season, scoring 31 goals, and have one of the best home defences in the league, conceding only 17 goals. They will be looking to continue their home form tonight against a team (Waalwijk) who really struggle away from home. Waalwijk have won just 1 of their 16 away games this season, scoring less than a goal per game, and conceding over 2 goals per game. They have already lost 5-3 earlier this season when Ajax were the visitors, and there is nothing to indicate their fortunes will change when Ajax Reserves have home advantage tonight. I expect Ajax Reserves to be the stronger team tonight, and should dominate the match, and a win or draw should be well within their capabilities.
