As we saw yesterday, knock-out stage Cup games can be very unpredictable. I doubt many saw two 0-0's coming ahead of yesterdays Champions League games, therefore I am posting this double as just a suggestion, so if you have any doubts, just wait for the next official "Tipster's Double".
Double:
Barcelona v Arsenal - WIN (Barcelona)
Bayern v Juventus - No clean sheet (Bayern)
At time of posting, odds were 2.29
These matches can be found in the Champions League.
Our first selection (Barcelona) are an obvious selection due to their undoubted quality. My only reservation is that with a 2-0 lead from the first leg, they don't need to win to progress, however in front of their home fans, i think they will try and give them something to cheer about. Arsenal have to attack in this game, as they need at least 2 goals to have any chance of progressing, but that should leave plenty of holes at the back which the likes of Messi, Neymar, and Suarez will look to punish on the counter. Arsenal also have a few senior players out who will be very much missed tonight, Cech and Ramsey to name a couple. In terms of form, Barca are flying high, winning their last 11 straight home games in all competitions, where as Arsenal are struggling at the moment with 4 losses from their last 6 games. Simply put, i think Barca will just be too strong at home for Arsenal.
Our second selection (No clean sheet - Bayern) is maybe a slightly risky one when you consider how strong Bayern Munich are, however Juventus managed to put two goals past them in the first leg and this time Juventus need at least 1 goal to have any chance of progressing due to Bayern having the away goals advantage at the moment. Juventus are a very good quality side, and they played poorly in that first leg, in particular the first half, however they showed what they are capable of in the second half coming from 2 goals down to level the match. Away from home Juventus actually average a higher number of goals domestically than when they play at home, however they do have some key injuries tonight. Chiellini, Marchisio, and Dybala are all out, which is a big blow, but i still think this is going to be a competitive encounter, where the odds on Bayern conceding a goal represent very good value and are definitely worth a shot.
