Our first selection (Hull) are such a difficult team to beat when playing at the KC Stadium, and it's largely down to having such a strong defensive record, conceding only 7 goals in 17 home league games. They have been going through a fairly poor run of form recently, mainly because they are struggling to score goals, scoring just 1 goal in their last 3 home league games. However, they are still just as difficult to beat as usual, which is why this selection should be safe with the draw covered. Their opponents tonight (Nottingham) are on a dreadful fun of form, with 5 losses in their last 6 matches, and tonight they have a lot of senior players out with injury. With the quality Hull have, it's surely only a matter of time before the goals start coming again and the wins return, and that could well start tonight.
Our second selection (Peterhead) are another team that are difficult to beat, losing just 4 games all season in the league, having played 29 so far. They are a free scoring team (70 goals), in particular when playing at home where they have scored 38 goals in just 14 games. They are currently looking to cement 2nd spot in Scotland's League One from Ayr, and their is no reason why they can't do that considering their recent excellent form of 11 wins and 3 draws in their last 14 games. Their opponents tonight (Stranraer) are also in a good run of form, however they have already played Peterhead 3 times this season, losing convincingly twice (1-5 and 0-4), and drawing the remaining game 1-1. Stranraer will look to try and keep things tight and try to nick a goal somewhere along the way, however this will be easier said than done. I see a Peterhead win tonight, and with the draw covered, it should make this selection very safe.
