Juventus v Sassuolo - Asian handicap (+2 Sassuolo)
At time of posting, odds of 1.86
These matches can be found in the Ireland and Italy Leagues.
Our first selection (Goal line - Over 2) is between a team (Dundalk) who scored 21 more goals than any other team in last seasons Ireland Premier League, with 78 in 33 games. At home they scored 46 from 17 home games, which is nearly 3 goals per game. They have maintained their form through pre-season, winning each of their games, and scoring 2 or more goals in each of them. Today they are playing newly promoted Finn Harps, who are favourites for the drop this season, so most would expect Champions Dundalk to be able to record an easy victory tonight. Finn Harps are sure to work their socks off tonight, but they did manage to concede 2 or more goals on a few occasions away from home last year, and that was against teams who don't have the same level of quality as Dundalk. I can easily see this game having at least a couple of goals.
Our second selection (Sassuolo) might surprise you when you notice they are away to one of the best teams in the world (Juventus). However, notice the +2 asian handicap, and that means Juventus will need to win by 3 or more goals for this selection to lose, and i personally don't think that will happen as they have bigger fish to fry in a few days. Now we all know Juve are a pretty special team at the moment, but they have a massive away leg against Bayern Munich in a few days where they will need to play out of their skin to progress to the next round of the Champions League. With that in mind, i feel although the Serie A title is important, there may still be a little bit of rotation, or maybe taking players off early if the game is looking safe. Sassuolo are a good team, and they often play well against bigger clubs. They are on a good run of form and they beat Juve earlier in the season. Juve will be after 3 points today, but will still have one eye on Bayern, so may not be as committed in the tackles as usual due to risk of injury. On top of that, Sassuolo have not lost by 3 or more goals to any team this season, and Juve have only won 1 home league game by 3 or more goals, and that was against bottom club Verona. Juve will probably win, but i don't see them putting on a show, 3 points is all they want so will be happy to defend a 1 or 2 goal lead.
