Our first selection (Gent) are level on points with Club Brugge at the top of the Belgium Jupiler League. Their away form has been a bit patchy of late, however their home form has been rock solid, winning their last 5 home league games, scoring 12 goals and conceding only 2 in the process. They do have a big game coming up against Wolfsburg in 4 days time, however they can't afford to be taking their eye of the ball in the league with the competition being so close with Club Brugge. Their opponents tonight (Leuven) actually have the poorest away record in the league (1 win, 5 draws, 8 losses), and although they don't struggle as much as some in the goal scoring department, they do concede a lot of goals (Over 2 per game on average away from home). These two met earlier in the season with Gent ending up comfortable 2-0 winners away from home, so with home advantage this time, they should stand a very good chance of repeating another comfortable win.
Our second selection (Sparta Rotterdam) are looking virtually certain of promotion this season, they are beating pretty much any team they play at the moment, and unless they suffer a massive injury crisis, i can't see any team stopping them from securing automatic promotion. They have won 14 of their last 16 league games, with the other 2 games being draws away from home against decent sides. They have already beaten tonights opponents (FC Oss) 3-1 at home this season, and considering FC Oss' recent form, Sparta should be able to get another win away from home. FC Oss have lost 5 of their last 6 games in the league, conceding 17 goals in the process, so for them to be conceding so many goals recently is bad news as they are playing a Sparta team who have scored more goals than any other team in the league (67 in 26 games). On paper this should be a comfortable win for Sparta, they are in a different class at the moment.
