Our first selection (Dortmund) have a must win game ahead of them, they are 8 points adrift of leaders Bayern, and will be hosting the league leaders in their next match, where they will be hoping to win and cut the gap to just 5 points. However, before they can even consider that thought, they have to win tonights match to make it even a possibility, therefore they have huge incentive to get all 3 points tonight. Dortmund are a quality side who are on a great run of form, dropping just 2 points in their last 6 league games. Obviously they would prefer home advantage tonight, however their opponents (Darmstadt) actually perform worse at home than when they are away from home this season. Darmstadt are a newly promoted side who are doing whatever they can to stay in the top division this season, so they will put up a fight tonight, however with such large incentive for Dortmund, they should have enough quality to come away with all 3 points.
Our second selection (Sevilla) are one of those teams who seem to only play well at home. They have one of the worst away records in the league, with 0 wins in 13 games, however when they have home advantage they become a very dangerous opponent, winning 11 of their 13 games. Their only 2 home losses were during their poor start to the season also, since then they have won 11 straight home games in the league, scoring 27 goals and conceding only 7. Their opponents tonight (Eibar) started the season very promisingly, however they have struggled of late, especially on the road, losing 7 of their last 8 away games in all competitions. This poor run has coincided with a large increase in the number of goals they are letting in recently, in those last 8 away game s they conceded a hefty 21 goals. Considering recent form, and Sevilla having home advantage, Sevilla should have too much for Eibar tonight.
