These matches can be found in the England and Scotland Leagues.
Our first selection (Everton) are a team who's results really don't give an accurate representation of the way they have been playing this season, they should have more points than they currently do. Unlike most clubs, their away record is actually better than their home record, with only 1 narrow loss to Arsenal on their travels. This is because their usual "pass pass pass" tactics are less frequently used away from home, and are actually very effective on the counter, with plenty of pace and power up front. Now their opponents tonight (Aston Villa) do try and pass the ball around a bit more now, and this may work to Everton's advantage. Also, regardless of tactics, Everton have a superior quality team with greater confidence levels, and having just been bought by a Billionaire owner, they will be playing to try and impress as there could well be big changes in the summer for some of the less keys players. Everton should have enough to avoid defeat tonight.
Our second selection (Ayr) had a great start to the season, however around December time things went off the rails a bit as they struggled with injuries. Players are coming back from injury now though and they won their last couple of games so they should be strong favourites for a win against Cowdenbeath tonight. Generally speaking though, Ayr are among a top 3 teams who have a clear advantage in quality over the rest of the league, with 11 points separating 3rd and 4th, and they have only dropped points once at home to a team outside of the top 2. Their opponents tonight have a pretty poor away record (3 wins, 1 draw, 9 losses), and they concede the most goals of any team in the league, with 58 conceded in 26 games, and 38 conceded from their 13 away games, which is nearly 3 per game on average. Ayr are strong at home, they are effective goal scorers and should be too much for a leaky defenced Cowdenbeath tonight.
