Our first selection (Nice) are just about managing to hold on to a Champions League position at the moment, however they are within 3 points of five teams below them, which include big clubs like Lyon, so they really need to be winning games like tonight's against Bastia. Nice's recent home form has helped them be in a position to challenge for Champions League places, they have dropped just 2 points from their last 5 home league matches, scoring 7 goals and conceding only 3 in the process. They won 3-1 away from home to Bastia earlier in the season, so expectations and potential Champions League qualification make this a must win game for Nice. Bastia have had some decent form recently, which has given them a bit of breathing room from the relegation positions, so i don't see them taking too many risks tonight, and expect them to be very happy if they come away with a draw. Especially when you consider they have the poorest away record in the league, winning just 1 of their 13 away league games. With the draw covered, this should be a very safe selection.
Our second selection (Basaksehir) are battling for a Europa League position with the likes of Galatasaray and Konyaspor. They are very strong at home, and haven't lost at home in the league since the beginning of October when Galatasaray beat them. Now tonights opponents Kayserispor aren't the same level of quality as Galatasaray, so Basaksehir should be able to prevent any upsets today. On top of that, they have already managed to beat Kayserispor away from home 1-0 earlier in the season, so they should certainly stand a good chance when having home advantage. Kayserispor are positioned one place away from relegation, however they do have a bit of breathing room (6 point gap), so as with Bastia in our first selection, i don't see them taking too many risks tonight, and expect them to be very happy if they come away with a draw. Where as Basaksehir will be pushing for the win as they battle for the European places. Basaksehir at home should be too strong tonight for a team who's only managed 1 point from their last 4 games.
