Some tough fixtures today, the Champions League games look unreliable, so have decided to look outside the box today, which is why this is just a suggestion, so if you have any doubts, just wait for the next official "Tipster"s Double".
Double:
Derby v Blackburn - Asian handicap (0.0 Derby)
Sao Paulo v Novorizontino - Asian handicap (-1 Sao Paulo)
At time of posting, odds were 2.02
These matches can be found in the English Championship and the Brazilian Campeonato Paulista.
Our first selection (Derby) were looking automatic promotion candidates for the Premiership at one point this season, however a run of very bad form has seen that hope drift further away. They are still in the play-off places however, and a win tonight would see them only 5 points adrift of the automatic promotion places. Their main problem recently has been scoring goals; before their last match they had only managed 3 goals in the 6 previous league matches, however i feel their last game could be fairly significant. They were losing 1-0 away from home to Brentford, before scoring 3 goals in the last 10 minutes plus injury time to win 3-1, and to complete a comeback like that must have done wonders for their confidence. Derby's opponents tonight (Blackburn) have been in decent form, however less so when away from home, with just 2 draws and 3 losses from their last 5 away league games. They average less than a goal per game away from home in the league and with Derby's home record being strong all season, with just 3 losses in 16 home league games, and if Derby's last win has given them a new sense of belief, it could be very difficult night for Blackburn tonight.
Our second selection (Sao Paulo) is the reason this double is just a suggestion, it's South American football, which i try to avoid. However if there is one rule i follow with South American football, it's "Never back the away team!", and Sao Paulo tonight are the home team. They are one of the big teams of Brazilian football, and they have a very strong home record in the Serie A of 12 wins, 6 draws, and just 1 loss all season. Now i don't know a huge amount about their opponents tonight (Novorizontino), but i know they play their football in the lower leagues and shouldn't have the quality to trouble a team of Sao Paulo's quality away from home. So far in the Campeonato Paulista where this match is being played, Sao Paulo have won both their home games without even conceding a goal, and Novorizontino have only managed a draw and a loss away from home in the competition, and that was against weaker opposition than Sao Paulo. On paper this should be an easy win for Sao Paulo.
