Our first selection (Salzburg) are last seasons Austria League Champions, and are currently battling to retain their title, so have good incentive to win this match. They may not be the force they once were a couple of seasons ago, but they are still a force, especially when playing at home. They have been known for simply outscoring their opponents, and even if they received a red card, you would still feel confident they could get a couple of goals. They aren't quite as strong these days but they do still score goals freely at home, averaging nearly 3 goals per game, which always gives them a good chance of winning. On top of that, they are no slouches in defence, conceding only 11 goals in 10 home games. They have won 7 of their 10 home league games this season, and of the games they didn't win, they dominated possession and chances on goal each time. Their opponents today (Altach) have lost 7 of their 11 away games this season, conceding nearly 2 goals per game in the process, so Salzburg should get plenty of goal scoring opportunities. This should be a comfortable win for Salzburg, probably by a 2 or 3 goal margin.
Our second selection (Goal line - Over 2) should stand a good chance considering the teams involved in this fixture. The last time they played in November, the match was a 6 goal thriller which ended in stalemate. Both these teams like to play good football, and neither team will feel they will need to use "park the bus" tactics, therefore this should make for a game with plenty of chances. Everton failed to score in their last match, which was amazing considering they had 76% possession and 33 attempts on goal, however it was against West Brom who purely turned up to survive. With Bournemouth believing they can win today, it might well give Everton the chance to use some counter attacking tactics, which has proven very successful this season. Expect an entertaining game from two footballing sides, which should have a good chance of 2 or more goals.
