Our first selection (Juventus) are surprisingly the reason i'm less confident on this one, which is why i've done my best to cover the draw, although the odds only enable me to half cover it. On paper they should win this game comfortably, especially as they have won their last 15 straight league matches, however they have a few key players missing tonight, and a few who won't be risked due to their upcoming Champions League clash with Bayern Munich. It's that massive distraction of Bayern which gives me a small gut feeling of doubt. On top of that Bologne are much improved under Donadoni, making them a top 5 team when looking at just the last 15 games. Any other time, this would be a reliable win for Juve, and hopefully it will be tonight but it does carry that element of doubt with such a big match coming up.
Our second selection (Bari) feels to me like the safer selection. Bari are very strong when playing at home, with 8 wins, 3 draws, and just 2 narrow losses in 13 home games, scoring 20 goals and conceding only 12 in the process. On top of that they have good incentive as they are fighting to stay in the play off positions for promotion into Serie A, and they have already beaten tonight opponents (Latina) away from home 2-1 in a game they had the better of possession and chances on goal. Latina are edging towards that mid table safety, so you could say they have less incentive tonight. On top of that, they have very little success on the road, winning just 2 league games away from home this season and having a negative goals ratio of 13 for and 17 against. Barring any upsets, this should be a comfortable win or draw for Bari tonight.
