Thursdays Double Suggestion!

11th Feb 2016

We're still on the Cup games, so i am posting this particular double as just a suggestion, as i don't have the same level of confidence i would normally want when posting an official "Tipster's Double". Having said that, our last 2 suggestions have both won, but if you have any doubts, just wait for the next official "Tipster's Double".

Double:
Trelissac v Marseille - Asian handicap (-1 Marseille)
Basaksehir v Rizespor - Asian handicap (0.0 Basaksehir)

At time of posting, odds were 2.14

These matches can be found in the France Cup (Coupe de France) and the Turkey Cup.

Our first selection (Marseille) have been showing some decent form before their loss to big spenders PSG, which in fairness was a competitive game. Previously Marseille had gone 11 league games without loss, which is a massive improvement on their early season form. Marseille are one of the biggest teams in the top division of French football, and tonight they are playing a team (Trelissac) in the 4th tier, the CFA (Championnat de France Amateur), so this is a real David and Goliath match up. Trelissac have done a bit of giant killing in this Cup so far, knocking out Lille, however this game is going to be played in Bordeaux, so with neither team having home advantage, that will surely work to the advantage of Marseille. The gulf in class is surely too large for another giant killing, even with some rotation, i don't see Marseille being so complacent that they won't win this one. Trelissac have had a nice run, but i think this is where it ends.

Our second selection (Basaksehir) lost to tonights opponents (Rizespor) away from home, just after Christmas, however that doesn't put me off. Basaksehir were 1-0 up after a first half in which they had more possession and more attempts on goal, then 4 minutes after the break, they had a man sent off, and that's when the balance of play changed and Rizespor came back to win. If not for that red card, i don't think Rizespor would have won, and that was when they were the home team. Tonight Basaksehir are the home team, and if they can keep all 11 players on the pitch, they should once again dominate possession and chances on goal. Basaksehir are strong at home, and haven't lost a home game since early October against Galatasaray. On top of that, Rizespor are fairly poor away from home, with just 2 wins in 9 away league games, and only 7 goals scored. I think Basaksehir will be too strong tonight and i seem them at the very least being able to get a draw.
